Moroccan Wool Hand-Knotted Boujad Rug 1023 // 256 x 172cm

A joyful, characterful piece — this hand-knotted Boujad rug has an all-over abstract design in mottled pink, black and cream which feels painterly and expressive, echoing the way that the pattern will have formed organically from the weaver's hands rather than from any plan or template.

Boujad rugs originate from the Khouribga region of central Morocco, made by Berber women of the Boujad tribe who have passed their weaving traditions down through generations. Unlike more geometric Berber styles, Boujad rugs are known for their free, intuitive patterning — each one a genuinely unique piece of textile art. No two are ever alike.

This rug was individually selected by us from our trusted network of artisans and rug experts in Marrakech and the Atlas Mountains — family businesses with generations of knowledge. Woven from 100% naturally dyed wool, it has a substantial weight and a medium pile that feels soft and warm underfoot.

At 256 x 172cm it works beautifully as a living room rug or bedroom rug, and its warm pink tones bring a gentle, grounded energy to any space without ever feeling loud.

Dimensions: 256 x 172cm (approx)
